Sorry for the delay in posting fell asleep at 8pm last night and didn't get up till 10am! (I blame being a student, as i cant think of a better excuse!) Not sure why you found it offline, server didn't go down, must have been a network issue within London Docklands.

    STELAR.

Stelar stands for Science and Technology through Educational Links with Amateur Radio.
We are an educational charity, and our aims are:-

    * To promote an interest in the science and technology of wireless communications in young people.

    * To encourage members of the teaching profession to use amateur radio in school to further their teaching of science and technology.

    * To provide education and training for educators in the science and technology of wireless communications.

I run a school based Amateur Radio Club & despite not being a teacher or involved in education, other than via the ARC, I have been given much support & advice by STELAR.

Y'all don't have any US training links? If not, that is OK, I've found a few, but wanted alla the input I could get.

    Thanks in advance.

Hamtests.co.uk now features all the US tests pools, including the Old & New Technician class exams as they change later in the year.

I would also recommend the ARRL books and I've heard good things about the Gordon West training books.

    Paul,
Thank you, my friend. It seems that your link was giving a 404 error last nite, so I kinda wondered Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I have the ARRL
books on order, 5-6 days to getting them.

On another note: It seems that this is a British site? Or does that really matter in the grand scheme of DX?
Believe me, at my age, I fully realize that any intel I can get is usually a goodness thing.

Most of the Admin Team is British, but we have an American Admin as well. I also hold (although not used) an American General Class license.

Our members though are from around the world. Yes, we maybe mainly British run and the server is located here as well, but I wouldn't call us a purely British site.

Gotcha. After looking around a bit more I see people from all over. My reason for asking is that I'm sure I will have questions that are specific to the US.

Thanks, man. I'm getting a rapid education and I'm sure I'll have all sortsa questions later.
