This is because with announcement we are looking to close HamTests (or sister site) I agreed to take over 100%...

We don't advertise how many for a few reasons, but it's a few posts and some time too.

The Captcha will stop once you've made some posts that have been approved my Admin/Mod team.

We find it effective at keeping most of the spam out, although understand it can annoy new users,...

TBH Some "features" weren't working when we tried SSL security.

Once this was removed things (especially on admin side) started working a lot better. Hopefully everything is back to normal now.

Captcha is only for first few posts then it is automatically removed.

If you stay longer you'll find this the case, but it remains due to spammers and is effective.

As some of you know when signing up we have quite strong views on Spam.

It seems some people now are using the PM system to send Spammy messages out.

vBulletin by it's nature does not allow...

I should point out that we've adjust the spam settings down so very few posts are moderated, but I'm not removing them as checking the logs they do...
